Rendi Mobilya executives, who have been managing their businesses with Workcube and Workcube E-Furniture since 2014, talked about their experiences with Workcube.
Workcube and Workcube's vertical solution specialized for the furniture industry, Workcube E-Furniture, has played an important role in the digitalization of dozens of furniture companies. One of these furniture companies is Rendi Mobilya. Rendi Mobilya executives, who have been managing their businesses with Workcube and Workcube E-Furniture since 2014, talked about their experiences with Workcube.
Can we get to know Rendi Mobilya?
We started production activity in 1995. We are currently working with a staff of 200 people in our factory, which is established on an area of 40.000 m2, 20.000 m2 of which is closed area, in the Woodworking Specialized Organized Industrial Zone. With 27 years of business experience, we export to 57 countries in accordance with the relevant country and international circulation. In the country, we provide both wholesale and retail services.
We manufacture modular furniture, armchairs, and chairs. We also have metal and paint shop departments in our facility. These departments both meet our own needs and also make contract manufacturing.
How did the need for ERP arise in your business, what can't you manage?
Since our establishment, the need for growth and growth-related issues has come to the fore, and the inadequacy of the package programs used has led us to search for a new program.
Before we met with Workcube, 2 separate programs and Office programs were used in our factory. Our management unit was managed by a program, our sales, purchasing and accounting units were managed by a another program, and our Panel Production division was managed by Office programs. This caused confusion between departments. At some point, it was inevitable for us to switch to a program with an integrated structure.
Currently, we use Workcube and the sectoral solution E-Furniture in all processes of our company.
Before Workcube, we can say that the problems we experienced in the past were lack of communication, confusion and disorder. With E-Furniture, our systematic functioning has become standard. With the e-design furniture design module, we have made our product trees faster. In this way, the lack of communication between the departments has disappeared due to the standard we have achieved.
All our departments are currently using Workcube actively. Production is monitored live with the data collection systems in our production lines.
Excel is no longer used for tracking operations. During the decision phase, the reports in Workcube are guiding and decisive for us.
How did you decide on Workcube? What determined your purchasing preferences?
First of all, we asked the companies in the furniture sector that use the system. We also have close friends who use Workcube. We chose Workcube with their references and also due to the system being web-based, open source, and open to development.
Since Workcube's solutions are developed directly according to the needs of the industry, they ensure that our work is faster and error-free. This brings savings and efficiency. In short, since Workcube reduces our costs, our profitability also increases.
How long did it take to get Workcube live? Have you implemented all modules? Did the employees adapt easily?
We met with Workcube in the last months of 2013. We have been using it live since 2014. All our units, including Production, R&D, Sales, Shipment, Purchasing, Accounting, Finance, HR, are currently actively using Workcube. Due to the inclination of Workcube and E-Furniture to the sector, our employees adapted to the system in a short time and thus achieved high efficiency.

We had shortcomings in our office programs. Some things could be forgotten. We were sending a bill of materials that we prepared in the office program here for purchase. The purchase entered their prices separately. Other units didn't see it. After we switched to the new program, all units were integrated into the system as well. We started speaking the same language. With E-Furniture, we reduced the product trees that we started to create in the form of bag plans to the level of packages and parts. With E-Furniture, we can control the suitability of the teams by taking their costs very quickly during the R&D phase.

As production planning, we can see our demand forecasts via E-Planning and open our production order via the same module. Since these transactions are interconnected, we can also see our history. In addition, we can place the production order both freely and on order.

We manufacture armchairs and chairs on order. And almost all of our orders come in non-catalog colors. Orders entered with variations (spec) are included in our production master plan with the convenience of Workcube and E-Furniture. We carry out our productions with our monthly, weekly or even daily plans. We follow the production process from Workcube with customer names from start to finish. The label of the product, which starts with the name of the customer, is affixed before it arrives at the warehouse and is delivered to the warehouse with that name.
Orders from our customers are processed into the system, and we create shipping plans and follow up our shipments in e-shipping. With the flexible structure of e-shipping, we can change the date of our shipment without messing up the plan. We can easily add or remove products to the plan. When the products are ready in the warehouse, the system informs us with the colors on them. We also record our shipment with various printer templates. Again, from the same screen, we can issue a delivery note or invoice for our products and close our shipment plans and orders. Being able to do all of them on the same screen saves us a lot of time.
E-Furniture's support for the sales process is quite high. Since we sell both wholesale and retail, the fastest thing that customers expect from the sale is to learn the instant production status. We need to convey this to retail very quickly. Because the customer wants to find out at that moment whether the product will reach before their wedding date, sometimes their special day, sometimes the date when their house will be built.
While we were sitting in the offices, we could not instantly follow the production process below. Thanks to e-furniture, we can see online at that moment whether the fabric of a sofa in production has been cut, whether it has come out of the upholstery, whether it has been packaged or not, with a single click at the computer. As such, we provide accurate information to our customers. This brings us a higher quality sales process.
Thanks to E-Furniture, we can see the packaged products online in our warehouse. This production process also has a stage after the production is over. At this stage, we can view the condition of the product during shipment, where it is in the warehouse, whether the process is completely finished and whether the installation is completed after it is delivered to the customer, from anywhere in Turkey and even from anywhere in the world.
We return every phone call with the right information. This basically increases the trust in our company. The most important thing for us is the trust we give to our customers. We have an infrastructure built on this for years.
